Hi I’m Gabrielle and I can’t wait to share with you what the world of cycling has to offer! When I was 7 years old, I hopped on a dusty red bicycle and taught myself how to ride it without training wheels. This type of self-motivation and enthusiasm led me to try new activities like rock climbing and backpacking, leading to my love for the outdoors and ultimately my biggest obsession: all things bike-riding, racing working on them. I started out as a weekend warrior, dabbling with amateur racing, and now find myself taking every opportunity to explore on a bicycle. These days you’ll catch me in the peloton with my local team, going in circles at the velodrome with no brakes (aaahhh!) or playing in the dirt with friends on gravel and mountain trails. There’s a great sense of camaraderie between people in the cycling community. All the views, mountains, challenges, and conversations along the way just make it that much sweeter. We have a lot of ground to cover, so hop on, and I’ll take you on one heck of a ride!
At an early age I took to bicycles right away, from my first big ol’ Schwinn bike, I remember even today my father pushing me in our front yard, When he let me go, I proceeded to go counterclockwise in a cycle until I hit a tree, Undaunted, bicycling game me an unfettered avenue of joy and freedom while exploring my childhood of Detroit, Michigan.
My passion for exploring the world led me to a career in film and TV production. For 8 years I was the director of photography/lead cameraman for the extremely popular PBS series “California Gold”/” Road Trip” and a variety of PBS programming at KCET Los Angeles, CA.
I have an Emmy Award for my camera work, as well as having produced several films that have garnered first place awards for my original documentaries. My background also includes traveling the globe shooting and field producing an international travel show and human-interest documentaries. Live Ride Cycle offers a tremendous variety of storytelling opportunities to share the beauty of bicycling, join me as we journey together and find that special ride of your own.
